Laura Bell Newton was the daughter of William Carey Newton(8 July 1852,GA- 15 June 1943, Paducah, Cottle Co,TX). William Carey Newton was the son of Rev. William Newton(1818-1861). This was by his 2nd marriage to Jane Smith. I am descended from the latter's first marriage to Temperance Smith. This Rev. Wm was a son of Rev. Edward Newton of McMinn Co,TN.
