Reverend John H. Thompson was born 1848 near Memphis. He was a Baptist minister who served a Baptist church in Columbia, TN in about 1895 to 1901. I do not know which Baptist church that he served at. He was married to Octa Vaughn, a native of Columbia, TN. Can anyone tell me anything about this man and what he did while he lived there? I would like to get an obituary for him--he died a little before January 30, 1904 in Missouri. I was hoping that an obituary would exist in Columbia since he was so well known there.
