Although Isaac's wife was listed as "Mary" on the 1850 and 1860 censuses, the only marriage record I have found for Isaac is the following:

Maury County Marriages 1808-1823, transcribed by Bettye Liberty
http://www.tngenweb.org/maury/marriage/18081823marr.htm
Isaac Williams Jennett Osbourn 2/10/1816

I believe Isaac and his wife were living with Isaac's widowed father Peter Williams in 1820:

1820 > TENNESSEE > WILLIAMSON > FRANKLIN Series: M33 Roll: 125 Page: 116
Peter Williams 10024//001 [1m under 10, 2m 16-25, 4m 26-44; 1f 16-25 plus slaves]

Isaac was living next to his uncle and near his father in 1830:

1830 > TENNESSEE > MAURY > NO TWP LISTED Series: M19 Roll: 177 Page: 322
Isaac H. Williams 120001//100011 [son of Peter]
Charles Williams 00021001//0110001 [brother of Peter Williams]
Isaac Gardner 210001//100001 [son-in-law of Charles Williams]
[two intervening houses]
Peter Williams 00120001//0000001

Isaac was living near his father in 1840:

1840 > TENNESSEE > MARSHALL > NO TWP LISTED Series: M704 Roll: 531
Page: 204
Isaac H. Williams 1012001//111001

Peter Williams 0010000001//001000001

Isaac was on the 1850 and 1860 censuses in Marshall Co. I assume his father Peter died before 1850, but I have not found any records to confirm that.

Isaac H. Williams was on the 1870 census in Obion Co. living with his married daughter Mary A. Dark. Mary's age was a bit off, probably because her husband was younger than she.

Isaac's father was Peter Williams, son of Charles Williams and Ann Wilson of Pittsylvania Co., Virginia. His mother was Sarah Hill, the daughter of Isaac Hill and Elizabeth of Amelia Co., Virginia. Peter and Sarah married 21 Nov 1792 Pittsylvania Co., Virginia. (Some Virginia Marriages 1700-1799, compiled by Cecil D. McDonald, Jr. Volume I.)

Thank you for all the details about the Williams family. Are you descended from them?

I am not related to the Williams family, but I am working with an elderly researcher who is descended from the half-brother of Sarah Hill who married Peter Williams. In the process of helping out, I have acquired a lot of information about Isaac H. Williams.

If this is your family, I will be happy to share what I have.
