I am looking for the parents of W.T. Mclain. His mother's first name was Dorcus. His father's name may have been James son of Jessie but I have no proof. W.T. was married to Mary C. Armstrong b. Apr. 17,1852. W.T. was the father of my grandmother Sarah Hazel Mclain Graham. Any help will be appricated.

Hello,I am looking into this family since I believe the dau.Dorcas b.1851 married Alfred Clark and had dau.Maggie who was my ggrandmother's mother.I am confused by the census records since some say Dorcas and some say Margaret as mother.Have you siscovered who is the father of these children?I couldn't find him on the censuses.

I think we may be looking for 2 different people. My William T. didn't have a daughter named Dorcus or Margaret. And his father probably died either before or soon after he was born so he didn't have a younger sister. Some researchers say my Wm.'s father was James son of Jessie but I haven't found proof only confusion.lol Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
