I am working on the Thompsons who were in Marion county in 1850 and prior also. I have not found any connection to Moses Thompson, but was wondering if you could provide me with a little more information on him. You said he was born in VA about 1792 -- do you know where he was before arriving in Marion Co. TN in 1850?

My Thompsons were orphans in 1850 and I have some information on who their family was. There were supposed to be several children that were left orphaned and I think I've found most of them living with other families. However, there are 2 that I can't account for. Would you happen to know anything about them?

In Dist. 4 - Marion Co., TN
Martha A. Thompson - age 4
Moses A. Thompson - age 3

They are living in the household of William and Polly Lane of Tennessee. William was blind according to the census and they had several children living with them. I can't locate Martha or Moses in 1860. Thanks for any help or information.
