Hersie Burns Graves and Zuleime - Lenoir City

I'm looking for help in finding in maiden name of the wife of Hersie Burns Graves who lived in Lenoir City. He died in April 1967, but was sent to Carroll Co. TN for burial. He worked in TN, AL, MS, then moved to Loudon Co. His second wife was Zuleime, who died in 1993, and is buried beside him in Carroll Co. They married in or after 1930.

According to her tombstone, she was born in 1908 and died in 1993. Since she was about 20 years younger than Hersie, she possibly re-married. Hersie's death certificate only lists her as Mrs. H. B. Graves.

There was a Zuleime James in Lenoir City who was born in 1908 (AL) and died in 1993 (SSDI), so this could possibly be Hersie's wife who re-married.

I've had no luck finding a marriage record or an obit for either of them. If anyone can help by looking in local papers for an obit, or checking marriage records, I would be so grateful, and am willing to pay expenses.

My g-grandfather was the Reverend John David Bright. His first wife was Bertie Smith. His second wife was Suzie Stewart, I think. I would appreciace so very much anyone with any information or connections to this family to just give me a shout. Thanks!

Cindy

I am looking for information on Mary Lou Lawson born in Loudon County, Tennessee. She married James Vineyard in 1896. I have conflicting information on Mary Lou. The SSDI lists her birth as 1 Jul 1878. Her death certificate (which I have a copy of) lists her birth as 4 June 1887. Further, her tombstone lists a birth of 1873. I thought her parents were Johnson S Lawson and Margaret E Unknown, but when I received her death certificate it had parents as Ike Lawson and Elizabeth Pesterfield. I suppose these could be the same people (Ike as a nickname and Elizabeth being the middle name of Margaret) but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

Fannie Jane was the daughter of John Wallace and Mary Ann McClaster. I also know that i am a relation of the outlaw George "Bittercreek" Newcomb, son of James Newcomb.
I am trying to locate death date & cemetery for Zebulon V. Farmer. Is there anyone with a cemetery book that may have this listing & wouldn't mind doing a lookup? He is last found on the 1930 Loudon county census living with his daughter Agnes & her husband Amos Letterman so I'm assuming he was living in that county when he died. I have found the information I was looking for on Zeb's wife Mollie & will share what I have. Would appreciate any help.
I would like to locate those related to Pleasant and Sarah J. Brown (born 1832 and 1842), Wm. S. and Blanche M. Brown (born 1869 and 1882), or Dorsey and Jessie Brown, such as decendents of Gilford or Fred Brown or friends of Annie, Arthur, or Ethel Brown. The first 3 couples are my g-g-greatparents, g-grandparents, and grandparents (step grandmother). Most are buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery. I'm working on our genealogy. My father is James L. Brown, but he and all of his siblings are deceased.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

We may be the leading Kittrell resource out there and we are free to descendants and spouses and helpful to everybody else.

We have a family tree of nearly 35000 (35K) Kittrell descendants and spouses that is totally private and a MyFamily site that is private and free and available to all Kittrell descendants and spouses.

Just post or e-mail if you fit the bill and want to see thousands of bits of Kittrell info.

The area of the future Gates County of North Carolina is the origin in the USA of the largest Kittrell family and Bertie County, NC was the home of one or more of the next generation, and later they moved on through Craven, Pitt, Granville, Carteret, Davidson and other NC counties as land grew to scarce for the number of male heads of household to feel that they could prosper.

After that period of homesteading in various counties, many in some branches moved to other states including many times over Tennessee and many times over Maury County. Loudon County later became the home of many Kittrells

Anyone with Kittrell in their lore please write or post or both!

Anyone with Kittrell in any Tennessee document is welcome to write and to share info on an area rich in Kittrells, complicated to delineate from which Kittrell they descend and of which we have a large knowledge.

We will assist anyone on Kittrell matters (for free of course other than the wealth we get from both of us sharing some of what we know).

In the 1880 census of Loudon County on p. 419 is listed a John W. Long. I believe this is the same John W. Long that was in Smyth Co. Virginia earlier. Unfortunately, I cannot get the library to check that listing. I suspect this to be John W. Long and wife Thurza Ann QUILLEN. By 1900 they were in Roane Co. and had a grandson, John McPherson living with them. There is an E. V. McPherson buried at Hickory Cove Friends Meeting, that I suspect is his mother. A John McPherson is buried at the Land Cem. in Roane. Would really appreciate getting his 1880 Census listing and also hearing from anyone knows about this family. I can furnish background in exchange.

Moses D. McCollum, a sergeant in the 34th Georgia Volunteer Infantry Regiment, died of measles in early November 1862 while his unit was in the vicinity of Loudon Tennessee. His body was not returned home to Cherokee County, Georgia. I am interested in finding his burial location or, at least, information about confederate burials in the area in that time frame. Any information or advice would be appreciated.

I'm looking for more information on Theodore A. Windle b. 1860. He was born to John William & Mary Lucinda Windle in Pulaski County, VA. He and his younger brother Alonzo migrated to Loudon County, TN somewhere after 1910 and before 1920. They owned property in the Philadelphia area. I know he had the following children:

Lloyd b. 1886
George Randal b. 1888
Myrtle b. 1890
Mary b. 1891
Cylde (female) b. 1892
Jennie b. 1894
John B. b. 1896
Theadore (female) b. 1902

I'm looking for more information on this entire family. Theo was the brother of my great-grandfather Alonzo. If anyone is related to this line, I'd appreciae hearing from you. My Mom is Mary Allene and lived in Tennessee with Alonzo in her young years and I'd like to get as much information on this side of the family as possible. We know Clyde married a Robeson (or Robinson) and had a daughter named Billie. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
