From a book: Marriages of Lawrence Co. TN 1818 -1929 by Donna Ramsey and Kathy Niedergeses
Lou Pogue to Margaret Christianberry 27 Sep 1878 Filed in Box 11 File 10 located at the Lawrence County Archives.
I checked the census books for 1870 and 1880 Lawrence Co. and didn't find very many people named Pogue or Poag living in Lawrence Co.
I have a copy of two articles from a history book from Wayne Co. TN. They are on Samuel Leonidas Poag Jr and Sr. Neither of these men married a Margaret and neither of them had a son named Lou.
I have not done a lot of research on the Poag family but do have a written autobiography done by John Wesley Bowden, who states that his aunt, Jane Bowden married Lowrey Poag. I can't find this man either. But Leonidas Poag Jr.'s wife was Jane. Most say Jane Staggs or Skaggs.
Not sure that any of this will help you, but maybe it will.
