Classification: Query
Surnames: Green(e), Moseley, Jones, Farmer, Darden, Carney, Newman, Felts, Duke, Gibbs, Binkley, Krantz, Merritt, Lewis, Clark, more........Gibbs
Correction : The Gardner Green mentioned born in VA about 1812 shows up on the US Cheatham County Census records owning 3000 acres to farm. 1870 Cheatham Co he is listed and next to him is my Nathaniel Green married Elizabeth Moseley ( Nathaniel is the father to Jonathan Marion Green )he had a son Samuel Marion Green as well. Then you will note John Green. Then see Gardner Green wife Jamima GIBBS and the GIBBS family on that census on the same page.
This Gardner Green had a son he named Gardner. John had a son he named Gardner. Just a Gardner named a son Nathaniel. So there are plenty of John, Gardner, Nathaniel, and William and Samuel's running in this Green/e line.
Gardner and wife Jamima are on the 1880 Cheatham Co Census as well.
My Jonathan Marion Green died in 1903 Cheatham Co. ( Kingston Springs area ) where had built his homeplace. The old Green cemetry which was on his property now bought by a Golf Course and the cemetery is at Par 4. Not Cliff Golf Course but the first off the Hwy entering Kingston Springs.
I will get more information on it and post it here.
