William W. Hurt, b. 1814
I am looking for information about the family of William W. Hurt, b. ca. 1814, KY, who was in Lauderdale Co., Tennessee by the 1870 census.
William W. Hurt was the son of James Hurt, who apparently had ties to Maury Co., TN.
I am descended from W.W. Hurt's son, William Monroe Hurt, who later lived in Dickson Co., TN.
I have lots of questions, including:
1. Who were Leona Hurt (b. ca.1822) and Caladonia Hurt (b. ca. 1854) in W.W. Hurt's household in 1870 Lauderdale Co., TN census ?
2. Does anyone have more information about Elizabeth (Cambern) Hurt, W.W. Hurt's first wife, after they divorced ? I have her parents name, but all I have been told about her later life is that she and W.W. Hurt got divorced, and she later married a "Mr. Reed."
3. Who is the "Jenny Furlow," living with W.W. Hurt in the 1880 Lauderdale Co., TN census and listed as his "cousin." How were they related ?
4. When did William W. Hurt die, and where is he buried ?
I will be happy to share the information I have collected on this family.
Thanks in advance for any help.
