After the war of 1812 three brother-in-laws settled in the East Tennessee area. Joseph Holbert married Lucinda Ellison on June 12 1812 in Rutherford County, NC. Johnathan Elllison married Rebecca Newman. William Newman married Delilah Ellison. Joseph and Lucinda Holbert moved to Blount county. Johnathan Ellison and Rebecca Newman moved to Jefferson County. William Newman and Delilah Ellison moved to Jefferson County. All three families where in East Tennesse by 1830.
