I'm trying to verify that Hoyt SWANN (born abt 1901-1902 in Jefferson County) is the son of W.R. Swann and Sallie MOORE.
I have those parents and children who match names of his siblings on the 1900 and in George Swann's obit from Cleveland, but I just can't find WR or Hoyt (or William Hoyt Swann/Soundex) on the 1910 or 1920 census. Could someone tell me where he is for his first 27 years?
He is in Cleveland in 1930, age 28, indexed as Swann HOYT living with James Edmonds family. He is married to Nola Edmonds, daughter of James N. Edmonds and Martha MOORE (**whose parents and brothers Wm and JAKE MOORE I can't find.**) James and Martha were married February 28, 1889 in Jefferson Co.
Some of Hoyt's siblings moved to Cleveland as George and Mae have obits from there.
http://dxsrv4.cpl.org/WebZ/Authorize?sessionid=0&next=/h...I need help finding Hoyt on the 1910 and 1920 censuses.
Also--There is a W.R. Swann who is listed in the 1930 census at age 60 with a 17 year old wife and new baby. Is this the same WR who is the (my assumption) father of Hoyt?
Thanks.
