Classification: Query
Surnames: Turner, Hill, Hogue
In 1830 William Turner was in Hickman Co. TN with a female child aged 10-15 in his household, the only girl in Hickman or Perry who could be Rhoda Turner (b. ca. 1816) who married Joseph Thrasher Turner (b. ca. 1814) of Perry Co. ca. 1832. In 1840 William Turner lived in Perry Co. next door but one to L. D. Hill, Joseph's stepfather. Joseph and Rhoda had a son b. TN 1833, moved to Franklin Co. AR ca. 1833-4, and went on to the Peters Colony of Texas where Joseph became a judge. Joseph died Hopkins Co. 1871. Their surviving daughter Linnie Hogue named her mother in an article in A History of Texas and Texans as Rhoda (Turner) Turner. Does anyone have information on William Turner? Was William related to Henry and Jemima Turner of Rutherford Co. KY - Warren Co. Ky. and their son John Turner Sr. who married Ebby Bishop in 1804 Barren Co. KY, moved to Dickson and then to Perry Co. TN, and had children including Joseph Thrasher Turner? If so, how does William tie in? Who was William's wife? Can anybody help?
