I am searching for the origin of my great grandfather, Michael Manning, who immigrated to the United States from Ireland about 1850. He married Martha Phillips on May 14, 1861 in Henry County. They had four children named, Mary, John, James, and Harris. Michael and Martha owned a farm near Puryear, Tennessee. Michael, whose name is spelled Mikel on his tombstone, died in 1906 and is buried in the Connersville Church cemetery. I am searching for any information related to the origin of either Michael or Martha. I will be grateful for any information.
