Go to this site and search the Tennessee Death Records 1949-2008 for George Whitney. http://register.shelby.tn.us/index.php You will see from the index that he lived in Henry County, TN and died in Gibson County, TN on the date you specified. There is a link on the right side of the page where you can order his Death Certificate. The last time I did it it was around $12.00 but it's been awhile.
