Robert L Johnsons parents are Philip H Johnson and Minerva Cantrell. Minerva and Philip (PH) were in Weakley county TN in 1850. Married in 1846 in Weakley county. Some of the Cantrells eventually moved to Perry county TN. Philip and Minerva lived on North Fork in Henry. Robert L Johnson moved out by the 1870 census living near his father. Apparently Minerva died before 1870 census.

Philip and Minerva had 8 known children: Robert L, Martha A, Mary F, William A, John T, Philip Henry, Hiram or Harman as they spelled it in the 1870 census and James. Find them in the 12 th district of Henry County in 1860 and 1870. I haven't been able to locate them after that.

Minerva Cantrell is the daughter of AP Cantrell and Rebecca. She can be found in AP Cantrells household in 1850. However he married 3 times. Rebecca, then Martha Richie, and then Mary Roberts. AP Cantrell is Abraham Potter Cantrell.

I am researching Minerva Cantrells older brother William Carroll Cantrell for someone. He died in a Yankee prison camp, his family moved to Perry county TN.
