We can be certain we have identified the Y DNA of Daniel Perry for the following reason: We tested Perry men decended from two sons of Daniel. Their Y DNA matched perfectly. This Y DNA had to originate with Daniel. It has one very unusual marker, a "13" at the marker 388 position. All four of the Daniel descendants we have tested, including those surnamed Hathcock, have this unusual test result.
With all the testing that has been done, we still haven't idnetified any other matches. There are 64 Perrys tested in the Perry dna project, and none come close to a match other than the four.
None of the DNA tests from England and Ireland match us so far.
We too have the first wife of Evan Perry (son of Daniel) as Amelia and his second wife as Elizabeth Caroline Smith.
We have not been able to identify the wife of Daniel, but a Smith family member is one possibility.
