I don't have much to go on but this search is driving me nuts. The only blank I have on my great-great grandparents is this one. My grgr grandfather was John William Kennedy, s/o Isaac Kennedy and Millie O'Neal. He apparently was born in Henderson County, TN or at least lived there a long time and moved after his wife died.
2 sources point to his first wife having the maiden name Duck---I have my great-grandfather Arthur Louis Kennedy's death certificate where my great-grandmother Allie lists his mom's maiden name as --- Duck. Also, I have a work related paper from Arthur's younger brother Newburn that lists his mom as --- Duck. John is listed as widowed on all the census reports after he moved away from home and Arthur, Ila O, Newburn, and Willie D. are his children according to a 1910 OK census. They moved to OK and Arthur married Allie Englis(h) in 1911.
I searched Henderson County, TN for Kennedy-Duck marriages and I found a couple but they were dated past the turn of the 20th century. Since Arthur was born in the late 1880's, they had to have been married before that but by 1900 John is listed as a widower.
Ugh that 1890 census being gone is a pain in the rear end.
