Does anyone have info on Dougal W. Gillis who was Captain of C0 I, 9th Alabama organized in Lauderdale Co., AL? He was born in TN and I think he might be the son of Dougal Gillis of Hardin CO., TN (1850 Census)who had a son, age 10, whose name was Wilson. This could be Dougal W. Gillis, but I need to prove it if possible. Capt. Dougal W. Gillis died of wounds received in 1862 at the Battle of Williamsburg, VA.
