I am seeking information on the family of William Galloway. He was born ca 1789, married Susannah Cox ca 1810. They had three children William, b. ca 1812, Mary,b. ca 1815. and Robert, b. 1817. According to family tradition, William Galloway died around 1819 in Limestone County, AL. After his death the family moved to Hardeman County, TN. I am trying to find information on William's place of birth and his parents. Some researchers think his father was Marshall Galloway (1760-1827),a Revolutionary War soldier buried in Sullivan County, TN, but this has not been proven. Any help, suggestions will be appreciated. Also does anyone know how I might contact Mrs. James Raines, who wrote the article about William Galloway's family in the Hardeman County history book?
