I know that this post is a little old but I am working on a theory that William Jones and Jessie Overbay are half brothers and if this is true, then William birth place may be Johnson County, TN. I know that seems a little way out at first. Also if this is true then Riley (Rile) would be William’s brother. I have only been working on this theory a few days but would like the thoughts from any others researching this Jones family. I have posted some information on both Hancock and Hawkins boards.
