This pertains to the James R. Sartain 1761-1832
James R.Sartain was born in 1761 in Virginia and died in 1832 in the part of Franklin County which is now Grundy Co.TN.His wife Nancy Ann Robins was born between 1770/1780 in North Carolina.She died between 1840/1850.
Not much else is known by this writer except their children and spouses listed as follows:
Margaret "Peggy" was born c. 1791,married William McGowen ---- Harrison was born 1788,died 1830 and married Susannah Harrison. ------ John was born c. 1791 - Mary "Polly" c. 1797 married Thomas King - Nancy (c.1800) - Thomas Jefferson 1810-1850 - James R. Jr. 1798-1853 married Matilda Simmons - Samuel D. 1801- 1840/41 married Mahala Smith. He was murdered by his brother James R. Jr. - George Washington born 1808 married Sarah Grayson.
