Hello all,

Has anyone had any recent experience in working with the Grundy county courthouse to obtain probate info? I was looking at the book "Grundy county, Tennessee Wills and Estates 1844-1900" and noticed an entry for John Gross in the loose estate papers. I am trying to prove that Andrew Gross is a son of his as there is some dispute amongst some of the family trees that I have seen. The book states that it is difficult to get probate info, but the book was written in 1986, so has the situation changed? Would it be worth it to write to the court to attempt to obtain this info? Has anyone actually gotten a look at this particular file?
