That explains why I can't find your book on the internet. Thank you for answering and allowing a copy to be made of your book. Unfortunately, I live in Idaho so am unable to get to Greeneville to make a copy. I would love to have a copy if there is someone out there willing to part with theirs.

The books have been all sold out for several years. There is a copy available at the Cox Genealogical Library in Greeneville. If anyone wants to copy the book it is alright with me, as long as it isn't done for profit. Thanks,
Don Bible
I have a Nathaniel John Wilson in my family tree. He was born about 1935. He was married to Susan Harriet Masoner. He had brothers and sisters. His mothers name was Nancy, but his father has died by 1850, no name on census (1850, Greene County, Tennessee). Two of his brothers names were Reuben and James. Nathaniel died in the Civil Was in 1865.

I am not sure of the Wilson connection-however I have lots of Ayers ancestors that pop up in Greene County, Tennessee and my great grandfather,Alex Ayers, was from Tennessee and moved to Sullivan County, Indiana. Some of the folks in the county called my g-gfather "High Pockets" because he was so tall. May give you a direction to look.

I don't know if they had children. I know she had at least one child by Teter Masoner at or about 1807.

My father was Joseph William "Bill" Moorefield, b. 1911, grew up in Baileyton, graduated from Baileyton High School 1930. He was a descendant of Waites, Feagins, Bradley, Weems, McLain of Caney Creek Church, among many other Greene Co. families. I know that he had friends among the Tucker, Carter, and Brotherton families.

I have 4 group photos, probably taken sometime between 1929 and 1933, of an outing to Dillam's Rock on Bays Mountain. In the photos, there are 7 young women, 8 young men, and 1 boy, maybe age 12. My father and his brother, Howard, b. 1913, are in one of the photos. The only names written on the backs are Ruth Tolliver, Lois Williams, Lena Kenney.

I have scanned these photos and will be happy to email them to anyone who is interested.
Yes, we are related through Jasper and Barbara Bailey. If you will send me your email address, I will send you an invitation to view my tree at ancestry.com
I have been researching my family trees (and also my husband's) for about 50 years and have been trying to put all the information online for other family members. I have a great deal of documentation from books I have personally read in historical libraries across the country. It's been incredibly time consuming to attach documentation to my trees! In other words...I have the records, but not enough time to do it all.
My email: obornyj2@yahoo.com

Elisha,

I descend from Andrew Jackson Gibson b 1822/23 married to Ruth Ellen Richman. I show Stephen Gibson (c 1790 d after 1870, in war of 1812) and Elizabeth Moore as Andrew Jackson Gibson's parents. I show that Stephen was later married to a Polly Rickman, but have no information about her. Stephen Gibson is the son of Champ Gibson b 1746 d 1820, married to Elizabeth (last name unknown).

Sharon ~ Thank you for your quick reply. It makes sense now. Had already concluded the reported 1884 marriage date for Mary Elizabeth Fraker was clerical error. Estimated based on oldest daughter Elizabeth's age in 1850 census that couple married about 1840. Might you have a marriage record for the couple?

Our grandmother in paternal family lineage descends from John Perry 1754 NC-1818 AL thru Benjamin Perry 1801 GA-1891 TX thru Benjamin Tichner Perry 1844 AL-1931 TX.

FYI
Ruled out wife Mary E Parry (logical maiden name Tullock/Tulloch) and Hannah Eliza Tullock in 1850 census not descendants of Samuel Tullock 1759-1808. Widow Jemima Logan Tullock and six sons migrated from SC to MO about 1814.

Ruled out family of Samuel Tulloch 1805-1887, who produced James A. Tulloch b. about 1833 TN, Hannah Elizabeth Tulloch about 1836 in TN, and Mary M. Tulloch b. February 02,1840 TN. In 1850 census, note ages for Mary (10), Hannah E (14), James A (17). No Elijah M. Tullock in this family. See 1850, 1860 & 1880 Census: Blount Co TN and 1870 Census: Bledsoe Co TN.

Ruled out family of James Miller Tulloch 1811-1859, who produced Mary H. born February 11,1859. See 1850 & 1860 Census: Blount Co TN.

Found an Elijah W. Tullock, Head (44) b. about 1836 TN in 1880 Census: Greene Co TN.

Found no census records for James A. Tullock b. about 1832 TN as head of household.

Found Hannah Collett (37) b. about 1823 TN [cannot read]; she is wife of Abraham S. Collett, Head (43) about 1817 TN in 1860 Census: Greene Co TN.

Found Mary Pary in 1800 Census: Greene Co TN - Father b. VA; Mother b. TN.

Ruled out Mary Parry (Perry, Pary) as daughter of Jane Logan Tulloch b. TN and John L. Tulloch b. SC.

Have noticed David Tullock name about same period in TN census records. Unclear about his ancestor line. Will keep you in mind if discover any clues.
I found on the Bondurant ancestory where Daniel Ford married Keziah Phelps. Keziah also had a son that was not Daniel's, Stephen Phelps. If there is any records of Keziah and Stephen I would really like to obtain it. Daniel and Keziah are my 4th generation Great Grandparents. Peter Ford and Judith Maxey are my 5th generation great Grandparents. I believe James Ford and Elizabeth Bondurant are 7th generation Great Grandparents. I am at a roadblock with Keziah's ancestory. She died at age 97 in Garrard o., Ky.

William O. SNYDER Family

Hope you'll read this query to see if we may have some mutual interests/connections. We will share any SNYDER info we have, but most of it is from Arkansas where William J. SNYDER and his wife Martha Ann ROBERTS had their family. William J. SNYDER is my wife Connie's
gg-grandfather. According to his obituary, he was b. 17 Apr 1847 at Greeneville, Greene Co., Tennessee. [d. 21 Nov 1893 at Springville, Conway Co., Arkansas] He was the son of William O. SNYDER b. about 1811 in SC and Margaret [-?-] b. about 1812 in Tennessee. It appears William O. SNYDER came to NE Tennessee somewhere around 1830 and married Margaret, as they have a daughter Elizabeth b. about 1833 in TN.

It appears William O. SNYDER and wife and family moved to Lost Creek, Newton Co., Missouri about 1858 or so as they are there in the 1860 census and their youngest child is shown as a 3-yr old son Daniel that had been born in TN. His occupation in 1860 was tanner, and sons George and Thomas are shown as farmers.

We have them tied to Hawkins Co. TN by the 1850 census[they are listed as family no. 49 in District No. 14]:
William SNYDER 39 M W Farmer SC
Margaret 38 F W TN
Elizabeth 16 F W TN
George 13 M W TN
Thomas 12 M W TN
Mary 10 F W TN
Ann 8 F W TN
Mark 6 M W TN
William* 4 M W TN
*[this is Connie's gg-grandfather William J.]
Elmira 2 F W TN

We will be researching this family in TN next month for three days from the Chattanooga and Knoxville libraries to courthouses and libraries in Greeneville, Rogersville, Kingsport, Blountville and Bristol.

Thank you for reading this far. If you know anything more about the William O. SNYDERs while they were in TN or where he or his wife were before, I hope you will reply.

I am a retired Navy Supply Corps Officer, and Connie is an RN in Pensacola. We would love to break through the brick wall we have on who Margaret's parents were, and where in SC William O. SNYDER was born and who his parents were.......
Bruce Rova (and Connie)
Gulf Breeze, FL

Kay, I emailed Brenda Schwall & she said it was ok with her if I send you a copy of the "Collier letters". She is the one who gave them to me. She also wanted to know what type of documents you were talking about.

If you want me to email you the letters send me your email address to my email: geneobugkk902@pldi.net
As soon as you do this I will email them to you. After this week I will be away from the computer for 2 or 3 weeks. I will try to check in before then if I can. But, I won't be able to email them at that time. So, if you wish to have them now, let me know.
