Yes. Jacob W. Thomason was born 21 Apr 1869 and died 14 Nov 1935, called Jake, he was son of Hail B. Thomason and Nancy Monteith. He married my paternal aunt, Mary Elizabeth Reynolds 11 Jan 1891. I think she was born in 1870 and died after 1916, but am not sure. I know nothing more about them except that Mary was dtr of Alfred Dick Reynolds and Lucinda Jane Myers.

I am beginning to think the same.
James Cannon married Rebecca Lackens in 1827 in Greene County according to offical records. Rebecca later appears in the census with George Washington, Jane and Isaac (no James). Some claim James married Margaret Cullen, although I cannot find a marriage record. However, the marriage with Rebecca predates the birth of Joseph, Abraham and David. Could they be the offspring of James and Margaret? Interestingly, I see the names of Rebecca, James, Isaac and Margaret amongst all of the the offspring.

GW Cannon was the son of Abraham Henderson Cannon (b 1824) and Sarah Cornwell (b 1827). Abraham was the son of James Cannon and possibly either Margaret Cullen or Rebecca Lackens. My guess is on the former for the moment, but I do not have definitive proof. I am open to any information on James, Rebecca and Margaret (my line comes I believe from James and Rebecca).
I do believe GW had 9 children, let me know if you do not have their names.

I'm not related; just trying to find Cora. I could not find a 5 year Cora Bowman born in TN in June, 1895. I did find a Cora M. Brown, born June 1895. She is living with her father, Albert, born Sept 1860; her mother, Ida L., born Mar 1875; brother Earl A., born Mar 1897; and sister Ethel L., born Aug 1899. Their race is listed as black. In the 1900 federal census, they are living in Civil Dist.13, Sullivan Co., TN. They were all born in Tennessee and they all list their parents as being born in Tennessee. Albert and Ida Brown had been married for 6 years. If this is your family, I can look for them in other census records.
There are other 5 year old girls named Cora Brown born in TN in 1895, but none of the rest list June for the month of birth.
According to this article submitted on the TN GenWeb site, Anna'a parents were William Johnson and Nancy Morgan, married 8 Nov 1811 in Greene County, TN (Not the additional "e" on the end.) The information about Anna and Allen's children does have at least one error in it regarding my GG grandfather Thomas. He did NOT die in childhood as the article states (it says "may have"). I emailed the contributors today and asked them to correct this. Here is a link to the article. Hope this helps!

Louise

http://www.tngenweb.org/greene/families/morgan-johnson.htm

A good clue might be the name of her first born male child, Thomas. Since there are several Thomas Johnsons living in Div. 9, Greene Co. you'll probably be more successful finding her death certificate. They were in Unicoi County in 1880, so you might find something there unless you can find them in a later census in a different location. Good luck.

I am trying to determine the parents of Sarah Bailey who married Thomas McCamish (son of Wm) in Greene County 10 June 1807. There are two Bailey brothers in the area in this approx time period, but wills don't match. However, there is a will of a "Margret Baly" who leave most of her estate to her "onely daughter Sarah Baly" and it is witnessed by Wm McCamish Sr 7/30/1805. This has to be significant, but I keep bumping into brick walls trying to determine who is Margaret Bailey.

If anyone has any insight, I would appreciate any and all leads. Thanks,

Margaret

I knew my ancestors came across the plains in a wagon train, and I had the TN part, then Mo. because records show their son was born in Mo. so I figured the Hale's and Gillespie's came to Calif on same wagon train. again Thank You.

I am doing research for a friend and she does not have an email account. We have found that she is descended from Honor Harmon. We found a record of Honor L. Williams who married James M. Stockwell in McDonald Co., Missouri, 24 Aug 1884. They had a son named Joseph Seaphes Stockwell. James Died in about 1888. Honor then married Ace Pilkinton abt 1893. They are on the 1900 census with Joseph. We have family records that give her name as Lue so, the L. may stand for Lue. Can you confirm or deny any of this information?

Since the other researcher did not find your family in 1870, I tried the 1860 TN census. Ann J. Heck, age 16, born 1844 in TN, appears in the Campbells, Washington Co., TN census of 1860. She is living with Hannah E. Heck (age 18, born 1842, TN) and Sarah Heck (age 40, born 1820, TN).
In 1850, they are living in Division 9 township, Greene Co., TN: Ann J. Heck, age 6, born 1844, TN; Hannah E. Heck, age 8, born 1842, TN; Sarah Heck, age 28, born 1822, NC; and Ann J. Harrison, age 86, born 1764, NC.
Given the same first names, I suspect Ann J. Harrison is the grandmother or great grandmother of Ann J. Heck. If they followed any naming patterns, Hannah might be the name of the other grandmother.
Good luck with your research.

In the Missouri marriages before 1850, I found Lewis Hale married Lewisa I. Neal on 19 Nov. 1846 in Andrew Co., Missouri. In the Missouri 1850 census, a Lewis and Jane Hale are listed. After examining the the image of the wedding license with a magnifier, I am pretty sure it's Lewisa J. Neal, not "I." I think this is the couple you are looking for, but the birth dates are off a little (which is a frequent event in genealogical research!) Lewis Hale was 25 (born 1825) in 1850; Lewisa Jane was 22 (born 1828). Both born in Tennessee. There was one other Neal marriage recorded: Charles Neal married Nancy Perry 10 Mar 1849, in Andrew Co., MO. Might be a relative of Lewisa. Hope this helps.

I don't know Louisa's maiden name, but I know they ended up in California. Lewis, according to the census of 1910,was living with his nephews family, and was listed as widowed, I know they are both buried in the Potter Valley Cemetery, calif. Lewis was born in TN, as well as his parents, is it possible for you to find marriage records for them? Lewis was born abt 1822 and Louisa born abt.1832 in TN.her father born in Virgina, mother TN. Louis/Louisa Greene Co. TN. one child born 1853 Mo. the other two born in CA.

His mothers name was Nancy, but his father has died by 1850, no name on census (1850, Greene County, Tennessee). Two of his brothers names were Reuben and James. Nathaniel died in the Civil Was in 1865.

Our line is Bernhard>>Philip>>John>>John Adam. I seek info on the spouse, Elizabeth JONES (1780-1837), of this Philip. Yesterday a post reply came in, but it was about the wrong generation Philip KUTER.
