Does anyone have any information about the Evans family in Greene County prior to 1910? Margaret Evans married James Moore (bond 3 Jan 1805) and Esther Evans married Abraham Chesnut (bond 13 May 1801). By 1810 they had moved along with other members of the Moore and Chesnut families to what is now Laurel County, KY. Their father may possibly have been Evan Evans, who is listed on pre-1800 tax rolls in the same area as Moores and Chesnuts. Any help will be appreciated. Please respond by email to ellawins@att.net.
