Nancy: Thank you so much for looking for the burial locations of Josiah/Joseph and Nancy Jane (Merritt) Wyrick. As far as I can determine, some of the Merritt family left Grainger County, after 1855, and went to the Territory of Kansas to live. Josiah/Joseph was never heard from again, by the Edward Merritt family, and neither were he and Nancy's children, Talitha, Susan, Peter, and John L. Wyrick. My gr-grandmother, Amanda Wyrick had gone to Kansas with her grandparents, Edward & Sarah (Carden) Wyrick. I am still hoping to find out what happened to Amanda's father and siblings. Many thanks again, and I certainly appreciate your looking for me.
