In researching my Grt. Grandfather, COLLEY C. BROOKS, I discovered he was born in TN (1882) to a WILLIAM & RACHEL BROOKS. RACHEL (b) TN 1852-----maiden name unknown. Anyone relatated to this line? If so, i would like to hear from you. Thanks, R.W. Brooks

I know that the Brooks (Brookes), Owens, and Fuqua (Fouquet) families from Virgina moved to Tenn in about 1778. Elizabeth Brookes and and her daughter Elizabeth both married Owens men. Her daughter Prisscilla Owen had a daughter Mary Fuqua who married James Roberson. ONe of my great grandfathers from Dyer, Marion, and Bedsoe Counties of Tenn.
