Re: Reuben GUNN's grave
Reuben Gunn is buried in Dickson County, on a hillside in what was a "lost" gravesite until a developer began bulldozing a few years ago and found the stones. Abb Lynn Gunn, the Gunn Clan genealogist for America, is also a descendant of Reuben's, and is working to have the graves restored and marked. (The developer stopped work in that area.) The graves are very difficult to find without someone to lead you there, since they are essentially in a woods.
There are plans for a group of Gunns to meet in TN this spring, and do research, as well as determine cost and how to fundraise to mark and restore graves. DAR might be able to help, since he is a DAR patriot. For more info, you might want to contact Abb Lynn Gunn. Contact me for his email.
By the way, there is MUCH misinformation about Reuben floating around the Internet. I can help with some, and Abb is a fine, scholarly resource.
As with all genealogy, don't believe ANYTHING you see on the internet, until you check it out and have a source. The internet is a bulletin board, not an enyclopedia, and anybody can post anything!
