Betty, I found your message (see below) on the Willie family from Halifax, NC to Dickson TN. I am interested to the families who moved from Halifax NC to the Dickson area and notice this Willie family may have Wilson relatives.

We have a Joel Wilson b. Halifax, NC 1771 on Indian Branch, Residences: Sampson, NC; Davidson, TN; Dickson, TN; d. Humphreys, TN. [Children include James P Wilson of Humphreys/Dickson area]

I noticed the Willies of Halifax at one time owned land on Indian Branch which is a very short abt 2 miles long branch that makes up a part of the present day Edgecombe/Halifax NC border. I wonder if you know or can you find out if Wm D. Willie might be William Dicken(s) Willie?

Correction: William D. Willey was probally the son of William Willey, born
1770. William, the son of John Willey was born ca 1805 and probally married
Nancy Walker. Same names cause lots of confusion. Betty Willie
