Seeking information on the parents and siblings of Richard Cocke (b 1776 in Virginia d aft 1850 in Montgomery County) who married Elizabeth Tribble.

Any help on the Cocke family would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Ed, Do you have parents of Elizabeth Tribble? I noticed
that you had Whitehead as one of your names you are
researching. I am looking for parents of Benjamin Franklin
Tribble and I have his mother as Polly Whitehead married
to a Tribble

I have Elizabeth's parents as Spilsby Tribble and an Unknown Mary.

Spilsby's parents were Shadrack Tribble and Elizabeth Coleman.

Shadrack's parents were George Tribble and Dinah Esther Meadors.

Spilsby Cocke's grandmother was a Whitehead...but I don't have any other Whiteheads in the line.

I also don't show Benjamin Franklin Tribble but there were several families descended from George. Most of his children were biblical names like Shadrack and Absolum.

It would have had to be one of Shadrack's grand children since he died in 1759, before Franklin became a household name.

I have Mary Whitehead marrying Peter Cocke, so that would
probably be the grandparent you mention. It would seem that Mary who married Spilsby could be the Polly Whitehead I am looking for. I am also related to the Dinah Meadows who married George Tribble. Still trying to connect Benjamin
Franklin.
