I am trying to find descendants or family of the half brother of my gggrandfather, William Nelson Martin. According to a written autobiography, he had a half brother named Alvis. Last name may be Martin or the unknown name of a step father. Born circa 1820 to 1830. Had one sister, possibly Mary J who married a Wooldrdige. Died circa 1870/71 in Missouri. Story is he went to California to Gold Rush and "was a fine figure of a man, weighing 200 pounds) and (died of getting overheated in his fields)A faint possibility he was raised by a Harrison Heal or Heald. If so his mother was an Edith and said to be Choctaw.
