Need some help concerning identification of 1930 newpaper story

Classification: Query
Surnames: Curtis, Stockard, Vaughn
To start off, my great-grandfather kept EVERYTHING, including anything to do with anyone he knew or was related to. Unfortunately, we don't now know who most of these people are. I have a newspaper clipping from July 1930 concerning a car crash in Nashville that killed to passengers and injured two others. The two killed were Martha and Lucille Curtis, apparently first cousins, daughters of A.D. "Eck" Curtis and Polk Curtis. The two injurder were R.L. Stockard, Jr. and Charles Vaughn. A.D. Curtis was one of the enumerators for Benton Co. on the 1900 census, and R.L. Stockard, Sr. was the State Senator for that region. The crash took place at the Church St. viaduct in Nashville, and both Curtis girls lived in Nashville at the time. My problem is trying to find out who these people are. I know who R.L. Stockard, Jr. is. I know the Curtis girls are probably related to me (my great-grandmother was a Curtis), but I don't know how. My Curtis' were from Davidson and Montgomery Counties. Any help with the remaining three, or additional information on Stockard, would be greatly appreciated.
