I am wiling to pay someone a bit of mad money to help me with some look ups in Davidson County.
I had been wanting to get there and do the look ups personally, but we live in Florida. The past two years in a row now, our home has been torn up by the storms so that we can not readily travel while repairs are being attempted. Can't exactly leave the contractors here to do the work themselves...it would never get done. LOL
So now I am left to find someone to do these lookups for me. I can not afford a professional genealogist/researcher. I am a simple retired military person.

I really do not want to wait for another year to begin this part of the tree, but can not get away to have the fun of the hunt personally.

Family specific:Sheler
tracking down Hiram Edward Sheler and his wife Laura would be my first lookup. I have located the couple in the 1900 census in Nashville, Davidson, Tenn. and they stated at that time that they had been married for two years, with a two year old son also named on the page with them, so feel it was closer to three years of marriage. With the wife showing she was born in Tennessee, Davidson County marriage records for 1896-98 is my best guess at where to start looking. The family remains in this same area through the 1930 Census...but have no idea of a death date or location. He does not show up in the SSDI..
he has descendants still living in the area, but they do not know his exact data either.
I am interested in marriage record for the couple, death record and obituary articles as well. He had quite a good size family, and future searches will include them, and their families. So this could be a quite lucrative endeavor for the lucky researcher.

Please contact me asap. I am quite eager to get this going. There is another family member, in his 80's that lives in Ontario, that is writing a book on this larger tree. Hiram Edward Sheler was most likely born in Ontario, Canada. We have seen that he often was listed as born in Michigan...but believe he was either born in New York State or Ontario, Canada. The relative wishes to include as many of the sibblings in this book as possible, and this is the last of the sibblings I have located and have yet to document.
