I need a 1900 census lookup for the following McCarty, Hall, Smith families if you are able.
The McCartys (possibly McCartney) were children of Josiah and Rebecca, both deceased by 1861. Mary A b/1829, Milley M b/1834, William P, b/1835, Celia C b/1838 and Thomas J b/1845. I have no information on their spouses or marriage dates. In 1860 they were in Nashville, living with Wesley and Eliza Hightower. Eliza was listed as 2 years younger than Mary (ie b/ca 1831) so was likely a daughter of Josiah and Rebecca McCarty. Mary A (McCarty) Smith and her children were listed in the HH as well as Rebecca McCarty (the mother of Mary).
Celia C McCarty b/1838, was another child and she married Matthew Hall b/ca 1826. They married in 1856, and had Martha b/1857, Mary b/1859, Belle b/1864, SE (female) b/1866, Annie b/1868, Jonathan b/1870 and George W b/1875. In 1880, they were in District 22, pg 337B of Davidson Co.
I am also researching the children of Harrison Smith (ca 1824-bef 1860?) and Mary A McCarty (1829-1872). Mary died in Madison Co, AL, but I do not know where Harrison died. Their children were William Riley b/1846, John R b/1848 d/bet 1850-1860) and Mille/Mollie M. In 1860 she was listed as Milly M, but she was always known as Mollie afterwards. This Mollie eventually moved to Huntsville, Madison Co, AL by 1870, where she died in 1899. I believe Harrison Smith was the son of Charlie and Polly Smith and I do not know Charlie's other children, but they supposedly had a son who had a son named John W.
All the families have ties to Nashville, Davidson Co in at least one of the earlier census records, but the Smiths may have also had ties to Memphis (Shelby Co) and possibly Tipton Co, AL. They may have also had ties to Shelbyville, Bedford Co, TN, but I am not sure.
I am especially interested in Matthew and Celia Hall, John W. Smith (nephew to Harrison Smith) and his parents.
