Martin family-Lived in the Creston Area-Help!
Does anybody in Cumberland County,TN. remember a Martin family that lived in the Creston Area? Well,they lived in -Crossville, 1st civil district, ED 18-1, SD 6, Sheet 1B, stamped page 174b, Line 89, dwelling 22, family 23 microfilmed census image.
So where ever that District was at the 1930 Census?
But,in the 70's I know they lived in the Creston Area.
I'm trying to find out some information on my great-grandparents,I would like to find out who Sarah Robinson Martin's parents were,anybody with ANY information,please let me know.

Rexford (Earl) Martin-lived in Texas-latter on
William (Max) Martin-lived out toward Peavine area
Sidney (Sid ) Martin was a Radio Announcer-worked at the radio station

Emma, wife, age 26,age at first marriage 22, from TX, parents from TN, laundress, at home
Rexburg E. Jr., son, age 3 (and 7 months?) from TN
Sidney L., son, age 2 and 3 months from TN-(My DAD)
Sarah, mother, age 53, widowed, age at first marriage 20, from WV, parents from WV
Claude L., brother, age 27, married, age at first marriage 26, from WV, laborer, bridge construction
Reginald G., brother, age 17, single from WV, laborer, odd jobs
Louise E., sis-in-law, age 21, age at first marriage 20, from TN, parents from TN

Rexford Earl Martin,age 73,of the Creston community,
Rt.1,Crossville passed away at Cumberland Medical Center
Thursday,July 15,at 7:00 p.m. after a lingering illness.
He was born in Charleston,W.Va.,on Feb.12,1898. His parents
were James Lee and Sarah Robinson Martin.Forty-five years
ago,with his wife,the former Miss Emma Barnes,and his family,
he moved to this area. For the past 38 years the family home
has been at the Creston address,where Mr. Martin was engaged
in farming.
He is survived by his wife;three sons,William and Sid of
Crossville, and Earl of Austin,Tex.; one daughter,Mrs.Maxine
Whittle,Miami,Fla.,13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral
Home Saturday,July 17,at 2:00 p.m. John Jenkins of the Crossville
Church of Christ was the officiatingminister. Burial was in
Green Acres.

Funeral Services for Emma Beth Martin,of Crossville,
who passed away in Cumberland Medical Center July 7,1996,
were held Tuesday,July 9,from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral
Home,with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Dr. James Lee
officiated.
She was born Aug.26,1898 in Wise County,TX,the daughter
of William and Samantha Jones Barnes.
Mrs.Martin was a house-wife/homemaker and a member of
Gospel Baptist Tabernacle Church.
Survivors include one daughter,Maxine Bertram of
Crossville;one son,Rexford Martin Jr. of Austin,TX;
14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three
great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Kerry Dishman, Stuart Dishman,
Thomas Whittle Jr.,Stuart Dishman Jr., Lester Cole Jr.
and Shaun Sherrill.
Any information would be appreciated,I'll share what I have also.
