The incident where one of Robert Williams and Susan Hampton Williams's sons had to flee was a racial problem so family said. I do not know if this occured in Coffee Cty, Tn or Madison Cty, Al where Lula moved with her husband Valentine Wells after marriage in 1883. With no 1890 records it is tough knowing what happend to the rest of the Williams fly.
By 1900 neither of her siblings are listed in Coffee Cty or Madison CTy, Ala.
Property records from 1870 on are not available to me, so I do not know how much longer any Hampton's or Williams remained in Coffee Cty.
There are no Duncans mentioned.
