The Nailon swinging bridge was near the Walters Power Plant. The power plant is just across the NC state line. The bridge was there until Interstate 40 wiped out Nailontown. It spanned the Pigeon River, just below where Big Creek comes into the river. There is a small article in "Cocke County, Tennessee and It's People" about Nailontown.
