COE Carlie Fay, d. Jan. 20, 2008, Glasgow, KY USA
Tim,
Hope things are OK with you in Iraq.
I was in Glasgow on Wednesday. Carlie Fay Coe passed away last Sunday and I went down for the funeral. Glad I was able to go to pay my respects and visit with Coes that I hadn't seen for a while. Carlie's brother told me there was a long line at the funeral home on Tuesday night. The funeral on Wednesday was equally well attended. Carlie's daughter Krissie Coe Fields is Barren County Court Clerk.
I'll try to attach some photos. The system wouldn't let me attach the Coe Cemetery photos I tried to attach with the last post.
Below is a note I sent to some of the people I saw at the funeral, followed by Carlie's obituary from the Glasgow Daily Times.

I can't tell you how wonderful it was to be able to be at Carlie Coe's funeral on Wednesday. I am so glad I got to go. Thank you so much for thinking of me. Your kindness is overwhelming.
You have heard me say "I've never met a Coe I didn't like." Carlie exemplified that sentiment. He and I hit it off instantly. I spent an afternoon with him several years ago out on the farm. We were as comfortable with one another as though we'd been friends our entire lives. I loved his farm, his cattle, and especially him. He will be missed!
Jerry, it is expected to be proud of ones own children. I found myself being proud of yours! What a fine young man Spencer is. I was delighted to finally meet him.
