Looking for any information regarding John Owens in whose home the first court of Claiborne Co. was held in 1801. Believe him to have been from the Washington Co., VA area originally. Trying to connect him to Jacob Owens who married Mary Sharp in Claiborne Co. very early 1800s. Some of their sons were William, Christian, Pleasant, John, Matthew, Isaac.
