Her parents were Absalom ELLIS and Phereba MERRITT of Wayne Co., NC. When Absalom died, Phereba and several of her children migrated to Henry Co., TN, along with daughter Leafy and her husband Wiley PEACOCK. I wonder if there is a connection with your Nancy ELLIS.
