My ancestor, William H(possibly Haywood) Marshall was living with his family in Carroll co, Tenn in 1860. He was listed as a farmer. His oldest son was William Haywood b. 1850 in Tenn. Does anyone know who this person is and if he connects to the Haywoods that are living in this county. I have wondered whether he belongs to the David Marshall family, but doubt it. It is possible that his wife Nancy was either a Haywood or a Marshall, my sources are not clear on her maiden name.
