Their children's names: Mary 1849-1873 (may have been from a previous marriage); Wm. H. 1853-2/1/1898; John Bishop 2/1854-2/1925; James Edward 10/9/1855-2/7/1896; Howard 1856-before 1873; George 1858-before 1873; Evel Lafete 1863-1899; Virginia B. (?). Wm H Sr. severed in the civil war 4th regiment Ark Infantry which merged with 2nd regiment. They moved to Poplar Bluff, Butler, Mo in 1868 William H. Died 1/1873 of spinal menigitis. Nancy followed 1/20/73. William Sr. was born in Alabama, but other than the census we can not find out any other information of his birth, parents, siblings, or possible previou marriages.
