some new info I have recieved

I have recieved a little more info. partially credited to my earlier post. So I thought I would keep digging.
My grandparents lived in Campbell Co. in a house next door to the elementary school in Elk Valley. A very nice lady wrote and told me that the house had burned down one day during school hours and they had seen it burning from the school. Maybe this will ring a bell with someone. My grandparents names where Vembert and Jaylee (incorrect spelling most likely) Blankenship. They had 6 children, JB, Jess (Frank), Louis (my father), Centennial (Tina or Tenny), Betty and Arlene. The children moved mostly to the Cincinnati area, except for Betty who is said to have married a Jim Watson and lives somewhere in Indiana. Tina has passed away. JB and Lou live in Elk Valley. Arlene and Jess live in the Cincinnati Ohio area although he frequently travels to Elk Valley. At some point my grandparent moved to Cincinnati where they divorced and eventually passed away.

If anyone knows any info on the Blankenship family, please share :o) recent illness has left me wanting to find my roots while I can.

Thank you in advance,

Lori

My ancestors were Blankenship's as well. I don't know where they came from originally, but, they made their home in Campbell County, TN. My father's name is Walter Blankenship-married to Joyce Silcox also of Campbell County. They now reside in Winfield in Scott County. Daddy had two full brothers-Bill (in Ohio) and Ancil(deceased and burried at Terry Creek Cemetary with wife and son. He had one half brother-Arvid Blankenship also of Elk Valley. There were some half sisters that I never knew, but, Dad would know. Their father's name was Dan Blankenship. His second wife was Sylvonie Sexton(sister of Russell Sexton) of Terry Creek. She is the mother of the three boys. We may or may not be related, but, we share the last name.
