Hi good people of Campbell Co,

Block Tn. My GGmother's parents were Allen Bond, possible Allen was a middle name, and Sarah/Sara Wilson brn abt 1850 Ky?,and another tale was she was brn in Caryville Tn?.
Any info would be very helpful.
Thanks Roy.

Block, Tennessee was a mining camp. My Mother taught school there in the 1940s. Nothing is left that would immediately indicate that a community was ever there. Block was just up Old Hwy 63 from Caryville.

I don't know Morgan Miller, but I made the post that you responded to on a public access computer. I don't know why it was posted under his name instead of mine.

I talked with a Chadwell descendant last year at a family reunion. She was realated to me through another line, but is a descendant of Union Veterian, Joseph Chadwick. He was in the 9th Tenn Cavalry, and was reinterned at Baker's Forge Memorial Cemetery by TVA from the Old Baker's Forge Cemetery in Sugar Hollow when Norris Lake was formed.

You mentioned that you have plans to be in the area soon. Decoration Day will be observed at Baker's Forge Memorial Cemetery on Sunday May 29, 2005. I hope that you will be able to join us.
