I have lived in California all my life. I know my Dad Horace Wilbert Campbell, who died in May 1973, was from Estill Springs Tenn, not on the map, was part of land under water from TVA project. Don't know what county. Don't even know what towns were close by. My Grandfather was James Neal Campbell, his father was James Duncan Campbell. I have heard the family names mentioned above. Would like to make contact with relatives to fill in gaps in family history for my Grandchildren. Estill Springs may have been in Campbell County, I just don't know.Also new to Computers.

Hi Pleasant CHITWOOD was in CAMPELL [SCOTT Countyy, TN after the late 1700s. He and some of his family had moved from VA through Rutherford County, TN to TN. Andrew Jackson Campbell was born 1822 in Campbell County, TN where he later married Elizabeth Perkins in Jan 1844. They relocated to Ky. He is my paternal 2nd great grandfather. My ancestor, William Nelson Campbell, was also born in TN and married in Campbell Co TN, and moved to KY (Pulaski Co).
What part of KY did yours move to? Could they be brothers?

hi there. i know your family is from campbell county, tn but i am interested in your info on the chitwood family. mine stops at a james chitwood (b. abt 1787) and a margaret ....(b. abt 1795?). it goes to a robert chitwood and jane lambert then a charles alfred chitwood (also known as cap) and mazie myrtle bailey. if you have any info i would be truly grateful.
