Hello, Wendell!
You mentioned you do research on Walkers from Campbell Co. TN. I am descended from James S. Walker who I believe is the son of John and Sarah Walker of Campbell County and the older brother to Elijah Walker. The 1860 Census shows them (James S. and John/Sarah) living next door to one another, and the states where John and Sarah were born (VA/TN) match the states where James S Walker said his parents were born on the 1880 Census. The 1870 Census shows James and Elijah Walker living next door to one another. Too many things in common for me!
In short, I wanted to see if your research confirmed that James S. Walker (he was married to Cynthia – sometimes spelled Synthia) was indeed the son of John and Sarah Walker. James’s parents have been a major brick wall for me for sometime and I would really appreciate any confirmation (or any other info you might have on this family) you might be able to give. I’ll be happy to share any information (limited as it is) that I have with you.
Thank you in advance!
