I only have pictures I have is of the headstone/monument for my GGG Grandparents, John and Hester Sage Cooper. It was off it's base and laying on its side when I found it in July of 2000 so The angle I was shooting at was at a downward angle so there is nothing in the background. As I remember the site it would probably not be visible from the air because of the trees. It is a small cemetery and was very brushy. The book "History in Stone" by Dorthy Bruce lists all the burials there. In 2000 I was alarmed at how little was known about its location and then the appaent lack of maintenance. Even worse, it was being encroached upon by new developements (homes) on 3 sides. If anyone knows of any preservation efforts please let me know.

We returned a 37pt and a 67pt match to two descendents of Armstead Hutson (VA > Roane Co, TN > Marion Co, AR)
NO OTHER MATCHES with known Virginia Hudson lines shows this as a NEW Hudson line.

I'm sorry that I haven't replied sooner but I rarely check the e-mail that notifies me of activity on this site and rarely check here.

I have always suspected, for various reasons, that William Fuller, James Cole's fater, Reuben, and Calvin Hutson were brothers. I never made any connection with their Virginial roots.

There is a fellow, Frank Hudson, from around Corbin, KY who is a descendent of Calvin who believes he identified a Hudson line in VA from which they came. The variation in spelling of the name is interesting. Calvin's offsprings apparently used the Hudson spelling.

I don't know much about the DNA testing but have read a couple of articles about it. If we could clear up some questions I would be willing. There are three other Hutson male descendents that I am aware of. Two are first cousins who live close. The other is Rev James Hutson in Knoxville, TN who is one branch higher up the tree than we are.

There is one other uncertainty about The older Rev James Cole Hutson. There is just the slightest chance that his linage through William Fuller might be at variance. I can fill you in if you are interested.
