Thanks for the reply Kyle. Just in case you are collecting information on Isaac Hutson I'll give you two corrections to his household as shown in the transcribed version of the 1860 Campbell Co, TN census. Isasac's wife is listed as Amy. It should be Ury. This is one of 4 or 5 ways I've seen her name written (Eury, Eura, etc). She was probably named after her maternaL grandmother Ursula. The last person listed in the household is Smith, Barsheba listed as a domestic. Barsheba is Ury's younger sister. The surname Smith should be Smithson. I've put my eye ball on the film of the actual handwritten census document so I am sure of my conclusions. Ury and Barsheba were 2 of David Jackson's 4 daughters who lived out their lives in Campbell County.

Hi Darrell,

The Isaac Hutson you noted is not the Isaac G. Hutson (1853-1928) who was the son of Rev. James and brother of Kesia Hutson Tiller. Isaac G. was married to Mary Jane Sharp and they had 10 natural children and raised one child of a relative. Isaac G. and Mary were my great-grandparents and many of this family (including his parents, James and Isabell) are buried at the current Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery--many of the graves having been moved from the old cemetery of the same name in 1935-36. I have a fairly complete track on this branch of the family.

The two Isaacs' may have been related but I haven't been able to establish any connection. Neither have I been able to establish any relationships among the four Hutson families (Reuben, Calvin, Wm Fuller (Rev James's father), and John, who appeared in Campbell Co in the 1820s. I do have a strong hunch that at least some of them were closely related.

Thanks for your reply.

Kyle Hutson

There are a few Thomas Smith's listed in the Jellico Cemetery. They only give dates - none are listed as a preacher.
Can you offer more details on his dates??
