Is there anyone with access to newspapers fom Campbell County in late 1916 or early 1917? My husband's grandfather, Albert Scarborough, was a law enforcment officer( federal, state, or county-I'm not sure) and was shot and killed on duty. I am trying to find out exactly what happened and who he worked for.
