We learn from the
Knoxville papers that the Supreme
Court, which has just closed its session at that place, confirmed the judgement of the Circuit
Court in the case of
Gardner R. Earles, indicted for the murder of his wife. He is sentenced to be hung at Jacksboro in
Campbell County on Friday the 7th day of December next. The murder was perpetrated in
Campbell County and the case removed to Scott, and thence to
Knox for trial.
