While researching the Hill family of Carter Co., TN., I found the below information on the Spencer Hill & Mary Cooper of Blount Co., TN. This family is not line.

According to Tennessee State Marriages, Spencer Hill and Mary Cooper were married 27 Mar 1893 in Blount Co., TN. Their marriage entry in the ledger is available on Ancestry.

From census records and a family tree posted @ Ancestry.com, Spencer and Mary had the following children: (1) Elwina A., (2) Elizabeth Amanda, (3) Perley, (4) Bessie, (5) Charles, and (6) Walter.

Elizabeth Amanda Hill married Edgar Lawrence Bodkins who was born abt 1888 in WV. Edgar deceased Mar 1864 in CA and Elizabeth Amanda deceased 1 Mar 1983, Hesperia, San Bernadino, CA. Both Edger and Elizabeth are buried in the Garden of Peace at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3900 S. Workman Mill Rd., Whittier, CA.

Elizabeth’s death certificate confirms her parents as Spence Hill and Mary Cooper. Walter G. Hill was still living when sister Elizabeth deceased, he was the informant on her death certificate. His address was: 6541 Specht Avenue., Bell Gardens, CA

1934 - Edgar L. & Elizabeth A. Bodkins resided at 2523 Ohio Ave., both are listed as Democrats. Also listed at 2923 Ohio Ave were Charles A. and Walter G. Hill as well as Edmund P. Hiller. Charles and Walter are Elizabeth’s brothers.

1936 - Same info as above, Edgar’s occupation listed as rubber worker. Also listed at this address were: Miss Bessie M. Hill, Charles A.Hill and Walter G. Hill; all are Elizabeth's siblings

I am not researching this family; I originally thought that Elizabeth Hill Bodkins might be the daughter of one of my Hill’s in Carter Co. Elizabeth's death certificate attached.
